Terms and Conditions

Welcome to G Force Moving Company Inc. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website at gforcemoving.ca (the “Website”) and the moving, packing and storage services we provide (the “Services”).

By using this Website or booking a move with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

These Terms work alongside your Moving Services Agreement. When you book a move, the signed Moving Services Agreement is the full and binding contract for that move; if anything here conflicts with that signed agreement, the Moving Services Agreement controls.

Who we are and where we operate

G Force Moving is an Ontario-based moving company registered for HST (Registration No. 729531723RT0001). We provide:

  • Local and long-distance moving within Ontario
  • Long-distance moving from Ontario to Quebec, Alberta, Manitoba, Saskatchewan and Nova Scotia
  • Cross-border moving from Ontario to the United States
  • Packing services and storage solutions

We do not provide local moves within provinces other than Ontario. Moves to other provinces and the USA are handled as long-distance or cross-border relocations originating in Ontario.

Use of the Website

You must be at least 18 years old to book Services or enter into an agreement with us.

You agree to use the Website only for lawful purposes and not to interfere with its operation or security.

Information on the Website — including service descriptions, rates and city pages — is provided for general guidance. Your final price is set by your written quote and Moving Services Agreement, not by the Website.

We may suspend or restrict access to the Website if we reasonably believe it's being misused.

Quotes and estimates

Quotes and estimates are based on the information you give us (inventory, access, addresses and dates) and on standard conditions. They are approximate and not a fixed or guaranteed price.

Your final amount is determined by the actual time, weight, volume, access conditions, additional services and materials used.

Where actual conditions differ from what you described — for example, more items, stairs, long carries or restricted access — charges are adjusted accordingly.

Rates and how time is calculated

Moves are billed on an hourly Service Rate based on actual time. How that time and any travel are charged depends on your move, and the structure that applies is recorded on your Work Order. There are three pricing structures:

  1. Hourly rate + truck fee — you're charged the hourly Service Rate for the time worked, plus a transportation/truck fee.
  2. Office-to-office hourly — the clock starts when our crew leaves our office and stops when they return to our office, charged at the hourly Service Rate with no separate truck fee.
  3. Long distance — long-distance moves are quoted separately. Contact us and we'll confirm exactly how your move will be charged before you book.

The time is billed in half-hour (0.5 hr) increments.

Chargeable time includes travel overall time, loading, transportation, travel between locations, waiting time, unloading, and moving goods into or out of storage.

Additional charges may apply for stairs and flights, long carries, hoisting, disassembly and reassembly, heavy or specialty items, packing materials, and storage.

Bookings, deposits and payment

A deposit is required to confirm and reserve your move. The deposit is applied to your final invoice.

Deposits are non-refundable except where required by law.

Payment is due in full upon completion of loading and before your goods are unloaded at the final destination. Our driver is authorized to collect the balance before final delivery.

We accept cash, debit, credit card (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Interac e-Transfer and Zelle for the US transactions.

If you pay by card, you authorize us to charge the card on file for the deposit, the full balance, and any additional charges identified under your agreement.

Any amount that remains unpaid more than 24 hours after it becomes due is considered overdue. Overdue amounts accrue interest at 1.5% per month (19.56% per year) until paid. Returned or dishonoured payments are subject to a $50 administration fee.

You agree to raise any billing dispute with us directly through the claims process below rather than initiating a chargeback for Services properly provided.

Cancellations and rescheduling

Cancellation and rescheduling requests must be made in writing.

Deposits are non-refundable. If your plans change, we don't issue refunds — instead, we'll reschedule your move to a new date and apply your existing deposit to it.

To have your deposit carry over, reschedule requests must reach us at least 48 hours before your scheduled start time. If you reschedule fewer than 48 hours before your start time, the deposit is forfeited and a new deposit is required to secure a new date.

If our crew arrives as scheduled and the move can't proceed because of the customer (no access, no one present, goods not ready, or non-payment), we may charge a minimum call-out equal to the two-hour minimum plus any applicable truck fee.

A separate Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy may apply and forms part of these Terms.

Your responsibilities

Tell us in advance about any item over 150 lb and any high-value, fragile or specialty item — safes, pianos, pool tables, appliances, treadmills, artwork and antiques — and anything affecting cost of the move and access.

Properly pack, label and prepare any goods we are not packing for you, and declare the contents of cartons you packed yourself.

Do not give us cash, jewellery, securities, deeds, identification, prescription medication, hazardous or perishable materials, or items of extraordinary or sentimental value. We don't accept and aren't liable for these.

Secure all necessary access — parking, loading zones, permits, elevator bookings and clear pathways at both addresses.

Be present (you or an authorized adult) at pickup and delivery to direct placement and sign for the goods, and make sure nothing is left behind.

Liability and released value protection

Unless you declare a higher value in writing before the move, your goods are released to us at a value of $0.60 per pound, per article. This is the default coverage and is included at no extra charge.

Example: a 20 lb article carries maximum protection of $12.00 (20 lb × $0.60).

Basic released value protection is not full-replacement insurance. You may declare a higher value in writing before the move, or arrange additional coverage through your home/tenant insurer or a third-party moving-insurance provider. We recommend doing so for high-value moves.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, for the contents of cartons you packed yourself, for inherently fragile or self-assembled items not packed by us, or for the mechanical or electrical condition of appliances and electronics.

Our total liability for any move will not exceed the lesser of the released value calculated above, any higher value you declared in writing, or the total amount charged for the Services.

Claims

Note any visible loss or damage on the delivery receipt at the time of delivery, before the crew leaves.

Submit all claims to us in writing, with details and photographs, within seven (7) calendar days of delivery. Claims after this period can't be considered.

All charges owing must be paid in full before a claim is reviewed.

We may inspect the affected item and, at our option, repair, replace or pay for it up to the applicable liability limit. Please keep the item and its packaging for inspection.

Storage

Goods placed in storage are handled under these Terms and applicable Ontario warehousing legislation. Our Storage Policy is also applied.

Storage charges accrue by-weekly in advance and are payable when due.

Goods in storage are not insured by us unless separately arranged in writing.

We hold a lien over goods in our possession for all amounts owing and may retain and ultimately sell them in accordance with law if charges remain unpaid.

Long-distance and cross-border moves

For long-distance and Ontario-to-USA moves, any delivery date or transit window is an estimate only and isn't guaranteed. We're not liable for delay or for losses arising from delay.

For cross-border moves, you're responsible for accurate inventory and valuation, all customs duties, taxes, brokerage and clearance fees, and ensuring no prohibited items are tendered.

You agree to indemnify us against any fine, penalty, duty or charge arising from an inaccurate declaration or from prohibited or undeclared items. Our Cross-Border Moving Policy is also applied.

All content on this Website — text, graphics, logos, images and page layouts — is the property of G Force Moving Company Inc. or its licensors and is protected by Canadian and international copyright and trademark law. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute or modify any of it without our written consent.

Website disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Website is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind.

We aren't responsible for any loss or damage resulting from your use of, or inability to use, the Website, including reliance on rates or information that are later confirmed differently in your written quote.

Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that can't be excluded under applicable law.

Privacy

Your use of the Website and our Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use and protect your information. By using the Website, you consent to that policy.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. You agree to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer protection law that can't be waived.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and continuing to use the Website or our Services after that means you accept the updated Terms. Please check the “Last updated” date above.
