G Force Moving Company Inc. (“G Force Moving,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use our website at gforcemoving.ca (the “Website”), request a quote, or book a move, packing or storage service (the “Services”) — and how we use, share, store and protect it.We handle personal information in accordance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and other privacy laws that apply to us. By using the Website or booking a move with us, you agree to the practices described here. This Privacy Policy works alongside our Terms and Conditions and your Moving Services Agreement.

Who we are

G Force Moving is an Ontario-based moving company, registered for HST (Registration No. 729531723RT0001). We provide residential, office, commercial, long-distance and cross-border moving, along with packing and storage solutions, originating in Ontario.

We are responsible for the personal information in our custody and control. If you have a question about this policy or how we handle your data, contact our Privacy Officer using the details in the Contact us section below.

What information we collect

We only collect the information we need to quote your move, deliver the Services, and run our business.

That includes

A. Information you give us directly:

  • Identity and contact details — your full name, email address and phone number.
  • Move details — your pickup and delivery addresses, property type (house, apartment, townhouse, office, storage or other), number of rooms or floors, elevator access, inventory or bulky/specialty items, preferred moving date, and any additional notes you add to a quote or booking.
  • Payment information — when you pay a deposit or balance, we collect the payment method and the card or transfer details needed to process it (for card payments, this can include the cardholder name, card number, expiry date, CVV and billing postal code). For U.S. transactions we also accept Zelle.
  • Agreement records — the signed Moving Services Agreement, work order, and any documents tied to your move, including delivery receipts and claims.
  • Communications — the content of emails, calls, texts and messages you exchange with us, including review or feedback you choose to share.

B. Information we collect automatically:

  • When you visit the Website, we collect standard technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring links and time spent on the site. We collect this through cookies and analytics tools, including Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics. See Cookies and tracking below.

C. Information from third parties:

  • We may receive information from service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, analytics and advertising platforms, and payment processors.
  • If you leave a review (for example, on Google), we may see the name and content you posted publicly.

We do not ask you to send us sensitive items such as identification documents, financial account statements or copies of cards by email or web form. Please don’t send these through unsecured channels.

How we use your information

We use your personal information to:

  • Prepare and send your moving quote and follow up on quote requests.
  • Confirm bookings, collect deposits and balances, and issue receipts and invoices.
  • Plan, schedule and carry out your move, packing or storage service.
  • Communicate with you about your move — confirmation calls, scheduling, updates and post-move follow-up.
  • Handle claims, disputes, refunds and customer support.
  • Operate, maintain and improve the Website and our Services.
  • Send you service-related messages and, where you’ve consented, occasional marketing or promotional emails.
  • Meet our legal, tax, accounting and regulatory obligations, and protect our rights, property and safety.

We will not use your information for a new purpose without your consent, unless the law permits or requires it.

Consent

In most cases we collect, use and disclose your personal information with your consent. By submitting a quote, signing a Moving Services Agreement, or providing your details to us, you consent to the handling of your information as described in this policy.

You can withdraw your consent at any time, subject to legal and contractual limits, by contacting us. Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a quote or complete your move. We may also collect or use information without consent where the law allows — for example, to investigate a breach of agreement, collect a debt, or comply with a legal requirement.

Marketing emails and CASL

If we send you commercial electronic messages (such as promotions or newsletters), we do so in line with Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL). Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we’ll act on your request promptly. Opting out of marketing won’t stop service messages we need to send about an active booking — for example, scheduling or payment confirmations.

Cross-border data transfers

Some of our service providers — including our website host, analytics and advertising platforms, and certain payment services — store or process data on servers located outside Canada, including in the United States. For cross-border moves from Ontario to the U.S., relevant move and contact details may also be handled in the United States.

When information is processed in another country, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and authorities in that jurisdiction under that country’s laws. We take reasonable steps to ensure our providers protect your information to a comparable standard.

How we share your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as needed to run our business and deliver your move:

  • Service providers — payment processors, our website host (Webflow), email, analytics and advertising platforms, and IT or cloud providers that process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
  • Crew and subcontractors — the movers, drivers and authorized subcontractors assigned to your move receive the details needed to complete it (such as addresses, contact info and access notes).
  • Professional advisors — accountants, lawyers, insurers or collection agencies, where reasonably required.
  • Legal and safety — government, regulators, law enforcement or courts when required by law, to enforce our agreements, or to protect the rights and safety of any person.
  • Business transfers — if our business is sold, merged or reorganized, your information may transfer to the successor, subject to this policy.

Cookies and tracking

The Website uses cookies and similar technologies to make the site work, remember your preferences, measure traffic and understand how visitors use our pages. We use tools such as Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics for this purpose, and we may use advertising cookies to show relevant ads.

You can control or block cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect how parts of the Website function. For Google Analytics specifically, you can also opt out using Google’s browser add-on.

How long we keep your information

We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purposes described here, or as required by law — for example, to complete your move, support claims, keep tax and accounting records, and resolve disputes. When information is no longer needed, we securely delete, destroy or anonymize it.

How we protect your information

We use reasonable physical, organizational and technical safeguards to protect your information against loss, theft and unauthorized access, use or disclosure. This includes limiting access to staff and providers who need it, and using reputable processors for payments and hosting.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we work to protect your information, we can’t guarantee absolute security, and you share information with us at your own risk. Please don’t send card details or other sensitive data through unsecured email or web forms.

Your privacy rights

Under PIPEDA and applicable law, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you and ask how it’s been used and disclosed.
  • Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
  • Withdraw consent to certain uses, subject to legal and contractual limits.
  • Unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
  • Ask questions or complain about how we handle your data.

To exercise any of these rights, contact our Privacy Officer below. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request, and we’ll respond within the timeframes required by law. In limited cases the law allows us to decline a request (for example, where it would reveal another person’s information); if so, we’ll explain why.

Third-party links

The Website may link to third-party sites and platforms — such as Google reviews, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. We don’t control those sites and aren’t responsible for their privacy practices. Please review their policies before sharing information with them.

Children’s privacy

Our Services and Website are intended for adults. You must be at least 18 years old to book a move or enter into an agreement with us. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we’ll delete it.

Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page, and the “Last updated” date above will reflect the latest version. If we make a material change to how we handle your information, we’ll take reasonable steps to let you know. Continuing to use the Website or our Services after an update means you accept the revised policy.
